Since its inception, the Firm has taken part in setting-up and restructuring several companies in Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso (…) and Senegal, and in establishing branches or offices of multinational transport companies.

It also serves as legal secretariat for many companies, in particular by drafting minutes of their Board meetings as well as of their General Meetings and legal monitoring.

The associates also intervene in the areas of legal and social auditing as well as the signing of various agreements between shareholders, including shareholder agreements.

We intervene in the negotiation and drafting of all business contracts involving lot of commercial lease activities.

  • Law of securities

To ensure the security and guaranty of financing agreements signed between our clients and other partners, the Firm has been often recruited to establish securities to protect their investments.

Our expertise covers the establishment, the realization and renewal of guaranties.

  • Debt recovery

We have acquired an in-depth expertise in this area after the successful implementation of many debt recovery procedures followed by their executions on behalf of various clients.

Our highlights in this regards encouraged COFACE SICR, representing COFACE in Cote d’Ivoire, to entrust the Firm with an increasing number of debt recovery cases.

We focus mainly on the banking aspect of this area and, for over fifteen (15) years we have successfully recovered the debts of the banks in our portfolio.

Since 2001, SCPA SORO, BAKO & Associates assists SGBCI, UNACOOPEC CI (National Union of Credit Unions and Co-operatives of Côte d’Ivoire – a microfinance institution called the decentralized financial system) since 2008 and the SIB since 2012 Both in terms of debt collection and in all areas of intervention of the firm.

Regarding SGBCI, SCPA SORO, BAKO & Associates is the 3rd cabinet of the TOP 3 of this bank in terms of collection for nearly a decade.

It claims to say the same, if not better, with regard to UNACOPPEC CI and SIB.

  • Law in collective procedures and liabilities clearance

In this area which is increasingly being used by debtors, we intervene through the negotiation and execution of concordats as well as the representation of our clients.
